BT & WALDRINGFIELD CRICKET CLUB 2010

BT & WALDRINGFIELD Cricket Club is a long established organisation combining competitive cricket and a healthy social scene. The club is open to all people working for BT in the Ipswich area, contractors and non BT guests.

The club has two weekend teams competing in the Classic Cricket League, a weekend friendly side, a midweek team playing evening matches and two in an indoor league based at Gainsborough Sports Centre during the winter months.

In addition to the competitive aspects, the club organises several social and fund raising events throughout the year. New Members Welcome

The wide variety of competition means we are able to provide cricket for players of most standards and we always welcome new recruits. Membership is currently £80 per annum (£50 for weekend only or £35 for midweek only) or £6 per match weekends, £5 midweek- members have the choice. The club provides equipment such as bats, pads, gloves, etc. - all you need is your personal gear - clothing and footwear.

Cricket Practice

Pre-season indoor nets are held at Ipswich School, Ipswich, on Monday evenings 25th January 2010 7.00 to 8.30 pm. Last session is Monday 26th April 2010 7.00 to 8.30 pm
This is a good opportunity to show the club captains what you can do and a good way to meet other members. Individual and group coaching sessions are available from qualified coaches. The session continues informally at a local hostelry after cricket has finished!

During the season outdoor nets are held every Wednesday on site 5 to 7pm

Home Matches

Home matches are played at the Ipswich and East Suffolk ground, Chantry Park, London Road Ipswich. The ground has changing and showering facilities and a bar.

Social Activities

The club holds social events throughout the year, e.g. barbecues, indoor games night and annual presentation dinner.

Club News

During the season a weekly newsletter is distributed by Email. This contains match reports, team news, averages, details of nets etc.

Notice Board

We also have a notice board in the restaurant, which is updated with club news fairly regularly

More Information

With all the social activities and, of course, plenty of cricket, we offer a busy schedule for keen members. If you have any questions you'd like to ask, please contact us.
